It Is Time To Rise Up!!

I had a number of posts here but I've removed them as I changed gears. Those of us watching the "fundamental transformation of the United States of America" as promised by candidate Barack Obama are horrified at what we are seeing. I see my country being lead down a path that I don't want to travel and I feel those in charge don't care what "We The People" think. I intend to do all I can do to stop them. Your mileage may vary.

You may email me HERE. I may decide to print your note here along with your name and email address. Sending an email to me means you understand that.

Well, now that the 'niceties' are done, welcome to "Me, Blathering." I'm just getting this site going. You might click in here and find nothing new for a couple days and then find four updates in six hours. Luck of the draw I guess. Topics will range across the rainbow and may include the rainbow. I guess it is time to get going cause the clock is still ticking and I'm getting older.

I guess I need a theme song and if I have to choose, I couldn't find anything more significant than THIS ONE!

December 7- Noon

So... they've arrested Julian Assange for rape in Great Britain. I suppose it will escalate from there. The hero of leftists everywhere has an article explaining why he should be feted as a global hero instead of luxuriating in a jail cell.

So in other words, if one fancies himself a masked crusader, then NOTHING qualifies as a legitimate state secret? I don't think so. Nice try. Game over Bozo. While some of the leaks posted may have helped causes to which I subscribe, the real end game is the guy is a spy... and we used to shoot spies. I'm not sure where this idea that people need to know EVERYTHING a government does but that is both silly and dangerous. If you disagree I wonder if you will tell me where your gold jewelry and other valuables are kept, where the key might be to anything locked up, and when you might be away for a couple hours? Same thing but on a much smaller scale. If the government must display all of its secrets, why should YOU be allowed to keep them?

Just wondering is all. December 7, 2010 - Morning

Remember Pearl Harbor Day. December 7, 1941 holds the same memories for some as September 11, 2001 holds for some of a new generation. December 6 - Morning

It's 'nice' to see that our 'friends' at POLITICO are trying to help conservatives choose a candidate. If I properly recall, the last candidate that the leftist press handed us was a real STINK BOMB. No Thanks guys... I think I'll choose my own candidate.

Obama NOW wants to play LET'S MAKE A DEAL!"

Funny... when the Republicans could do nothing to stop him, he refused to even acknowledge they were there, even though that never stopped him and his willing accomplices in the Lame Stream Media from BLAMING the Republicans for everything that was wrong and didn't work out for him. The next 'revolution' has started. NO COMPROMISE... NO CAPITULATION... NOTHING. Remember the name of every RINO that wants to "reach across the aisle" to the socialistic idiots. NO COMPROMISE... NO CAPITULATION Stand firm or be voted out in 2012.

Since it is becoming more and more readily apparent that the big cities will need a MASSIVE BAILOUT, it has occurred to me that the huge majority of these cities are long time liberal bastions and no matter what we do, they will STILL be liberal bastions. With that in mind, why should 'red state areas' be forced to bail them so they can continue their irresponsible liberal ways?

Americans are being scanned and strip searched at airports, our phones and internet are being monitored, new scanners hidden in trucks are being deployed in cities across the nation to peek into your cars, homes and businesses, our credit card usage is being monitored and on it goes. Meanwhile we won't enforce immigration laws, we don't enforce drug laws and then we are upset with all the drug smuggling coming across our southern border along with the violence that goes with it. Its time we start enforcing laws and start making examples of some of these bad men to deter others. If determent fails... at least we lowered their numbers by a few.

Lindsey Graham is attempting his own little bit of misdirection. He and the establishment GOP failed to support the peoples choices for candidates because they had specifically said they were not beholden to the get along go along crowd. The good old boys were also determined to scuttle the independant voices who are strong supporters of Sarah Palin. They are as frightened of Palin as the Liberals that she will not only run but stands a good chance of winning in 2012.

Lindsey and his wishy washy RINO cronies had best be very afraid. They are being watched, weighed, and have been found wanting. We need more RINO's like we need four more years of Obama.

The WaPo website has evidently been hijacked. What are the chances an editorial which essentially calls Plame and her hubby liars would appear in the ComPost? And how likely is it that an editorial here would side with President Bush in hoping that this misreporting of history is corrected?

While this editorial falls short of telling you who DID "expose" Ms. Plame, I have no problem telling you it was Richard Armitage of the State Department. Everyone in the liberal press corp knew who had done this but continued the witch hunt for Dick Chaney and Scooter Libby just for the laughs it brought about on the 'Journo-List' website. The laughs must have been even bigger once an innocent Libby was convicted! On September 7, 2006, Armitage admitted he was indeed the source of the 'leak exposing' the Plames, despite the the fact that they lived their 'secret life' out in the open.

Ya gotta love Liberals! Any lie can be forgiven if the intended target is a Republican.

I've been both lazy and sluggish the past couple weeks after the eye surgery. Ever so slowly, things are getting better and my so called 'mind' has been pontificating back and forth with its various personalities and we will have some good stuff this weekend. I've decided to become a bit more radical in my efforts to ensure the legal overthrow of the current regime in November 2012.

Parts of America want to go back to sleep after the elections... well... you can't. Even puppies open their eyes after ten days so after two years, ain't it time we do so? When you hear some idiot RINO talking about 'working with the President,' remember their name as some one we need to defeat in the next election. Read it ALL!

The last couple lines of this sum up my thoughts EXACTLY:
Republicans had better understand that people who put them back in power have little patience for those willing to "go along to get along" when it comes to the critical issues mention...ed above. These are Americans who saw the true face of Democrat progressivism, and weren't merely upset, but thoroughly appalled.
They don't want compromise. They want a line drawn in the sand.

Thoughts of Patriots of the past:

Samuel Adams: If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Samuel Adams: The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.

Patrick Henry: Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined.... O sir, we should have fine times, indeed, if to punish tyrants, it were only sufficient to assemble the people!

See ya at the rally folks!

I collect thoughtful quotes and stumbled across this one by Shel Silverstein: "In a world full of apples and kisses and shoes, Lester wasted his wishes on wishing."

At first blush it seems like a lesson for children... and it is a lesson for children but it holds a plan for us as well. We can wish that the elections in November will prove America and Americans will regain their common sense. We can hope to stop the socialization of our great Republic... but if you want it to happen, you best get off your backside and get busy because the 'revolution' begins with you.

Another way to look at it in a quotation? It is better to light a single candle than to sit and curse the darkness.

"The Americans will always do the right thing... after they've exhausted all the alternatives." - Winston Churchill.

Consider this: We exhausted our alternatives in the 2006 and the 2008 election cycles. We allowed candidates that felt 'reaching across the aisle' was a good thing despite the fact that it was always an unilateral move. We allow the complicit media to choose our nominee for president while most of us knew he not only was a RINO at best but also came with heavy baggage, such as the "Keating Five" scandal.

Perhaps Americans will see it is time to do the right thing and elect a congress that will at least slow down the descent into socialism and set us up for an election in 2012 that will allow us to reverse the damage done to date.

As I think I've said before, my candidate must pledge to begin to undo all of this nonsense on the first day and in the first hours of their inauguration day. We must demand one of the first acts be the release of all that oil and gas laden acreage in the Montana/Colorado/Wyoming/Utah/Nevada area and allow careful drilling and recovery of our own resources vs making us dependent on the oil cartels. We must demand immediate reversal of the health scam bill and all that went with it. The list could on for days but you get the idea.

Keep your heart and spirit uplifted and lets look to November 2010 and beyond.

As much as it seems to me that this topic is in the news and despite how often Glenn Beck has lectured about it, I am amazed how few people know exactly what or who planned the "Cloward–Piven strategy." I was talking with some people today about the reckless abandon Obama and the ultra liberal members of Congress seem to use in pursuing what I see as devastating for the country as I know it.

We were discussing it and I mentioned that Obama and crew were using the classic Cloward–Piven strategy to bring about the 'fundamental transformation of America" had threatened during his campaign. They had no concept of Cloward or Piven.

I am on 'vacation' right now but for those of you old enough to remember it, recall the NY Daily News November October 30th, 1975 headline, "FORD TO CITY: DROP DEAD!" The ordeal that brought the city of New York to its knees was brought about by Richard Cloward and Frances Piven. The goal was to create a 'national guaranteed annual income.' In other words, they were looking to increase the welfare rolls in an effort to over burden the local budget and bring about a change in the system.

The concept was originally outlined in 1966 and used to some success on a small scale and once placed into action in NYC, the city went broke, just as hoped and planned. Unlike Obama, then President Ford refused to bail out the city. The move cost him the 1976 election to Jimmy Carter, a mistake America quickly and resoundingly righted the next go around with the election of Ronald Reagan.

Until the party was split by Ross Perot, he of the "Can I finish?" rhetoric, the Republican party had a lock on things for at least another eight years or longer. They allowed things to get out of focus and thus lost control. There is a lesson for 2012 here. Don't take your eye off the prize in November 2010 while we look for the right person in 2012.

Until next time.

I saw something beautiful this afternoon. I know that I tend to rant on occasions but I also like to talk about things of beauty as well. I was headed out to the pool today to sit in the hot tub and then swim a few laps as I do nearly every day when it began to rain. Most people might have gone in but I always figure what the heck? I'm down here to get wet any way so I continued.

As I approached the pool, my eyes caught a design that I had never seen in the pool before. The various jets in the pool always make a disturbance in the water as they return the filtered water but with the rain falling on the pool, a series of giant chrysanthemums appeared. If you know me, you know that I always like a good 'stop and smell the roses' moment. I went back upstairs to get my wife so that she might see it was well.

Yeah, it seems small and almost insignificant but a lot of the good things in Life are like that and pass us by unnoticed by far too many. I figure that someday I'll think of this day and smile.

Politics make enemies of friends... period. I will no longer discuss politics with people that I don't know to be savvy in the field because it is like a college calculus professor talking to a kindergartener about his specialty. I'm not saying I'm a political genius or anything like that... but I've at least studied it in college, taking multiple classes in the political sciences, and I've been involved in politics since 1968. I knew some big time people back in the day.

Politics is a game with some pretty complex rules and methods. I've been politically active for 40 years and it still fascinates and confuses me which leads me to my decision not to discuss politics to the political newbie or the guy who gets his news from Jon Stewart, The Huff-n-Puff Post, or BS-DNC.

Some people talk a good game but you can pick off the politically stupid when they begin to make blanket statements... such as "ALL politicians are corrupt and greedy!" When you hear this one, smile and walk away cause the guy is an ignorant ass. Talking to this kind of person brings to mind the old joke that says, 'Fighting with a pig is a waste of time; you just get dirty and the pig likes it."

I really like the ones who don't know anything about political history and will readily admit it but they just KNOW they are right, despite the fact you can prove them wrong right down the line. They want to shut me up but they insist on their right to say what ever they want, also known as "Freedom of Speech for ME, but none for THEE! Idiots. In my mind, you can say what ever you want... as long as it is close to the truth but you can't make stuff up and not expect to be called on it.

Have fun out there. Avoid the political Noids.

I had a weird thing happen today when I went in to pay my cable bill. I stood in line, quietly biding my time. As I approached the female teller when it was my turn, I did what I have always done, remove my hat and smile. She took my bill and was accessing the information when she thanked me for the courtesy of removing my hat. I acknowledged her thanks and made playful commentary to the extent that it was habit from my youth when my Father would have smacked me if I had not done so.... which was all true.

He made me do weird things like: remove my hat, say please, thank you, yes ma'am, no ma'am, yes sir, no sir, open doors for ladies and citizen older than myself, and a dozen other nuances that I do out of habit. He told me it was a sign of respect.

As I was leaving, she told me that she didn't think I was "that old" to do those kind of things. I must have had a puzzled look as she went on to explain that while younger men rarely took off their hats, the 'older men', men she time framed as 55 and older, almost always did. While I am 55, these were things I've done all my life. Little did I know I was in such a minority any more. It's both weird and pitiful.

When I went back to the car and began to leave, one my very favorite songs by the Beatles was playing and there was a couple lines that fit here from the song "In My Life."

There are places I'll remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain

I trust you'll see the irony.
